The inspector found “all sorts of waste” being thrown out of prisoners’ cells into the exercise yards below with the resulting mess left untouched.”
According to the report, when the Chief Inspector voiced his concerns, the response received was generally, “it’s nothing to do with me,” or “this is how things are done around here.”
