The prison may seem an unlikely place to learn about leadership, but this article is telling otherwise. Jay Steinfeld, the article’s author notes that the prison could be the right place to learn about the elements of entrepreneurship, such as turning oneself into an idealself, mustering a positive attitude, and building a support group.

Steinfeld found out about prison as a “storehouse of untapped potential” through the Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP), a local program established by Catherine Rohr, a Wall Street investor. A factor that convinced Rohr to create PEP is her interesting theory about the inmates.
