WI: State making progress on recidivism

From the article: “…criminal justice officials say major progress is being made in cutting back on chronic offenders who make repeat trips to the state’s adult prisons. They point to findings of a recent state Department of Corrections report on recidivism as evidence that diversionary and community-based programs are making an impact.The report revealed that the rate at which prisoners are committing new crimes following their release from prison — better known as recidivism — has been steadily declining since 1993.”
